Jr. Programmer / System Admin
Looking for a great student job that provides exceptional resume experience and flexible hours?  This is no help desk or tech support phone line job.  This position provides real world experience in multiple areas of Administration and programming.  Under the direction of the Director of IT the employee will be given projects related to all areas of IT administration and programming.  This position provides broad experience in administration of Windows LAN and web servers, Microsoft SQL Databases, mySQL Databases, HTML, ASP.net, Linux, firewalls, IDS, mail servers,  and more.  The applicant should be a quick learner, self motivated, detail oriented, dependable, and able to work without direct supervision.  Past employees upon graduation have had multiple top level administration or programming offers based on their experience with us. 

We are flexible on scheduling the hours worked (though work hours should generally be between 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday). The applicant should be -
  • Familiar with ASP, ASP.Net or PHP programming
  • Familiar with C# (or similar language i.e. Java, C++)
  • Familiar with or able to learn VB or VBA
  • Familiar with or able to learn SQL commands
  • Familiar with Windows XP, and 2003
  • Can troubleshoot basic hardware problems
  • Knowledge of basic networking
  • Familiar with or able to become familiar with Linux
Pay Scale
  • Pay Rate for this position is negotiable depending on experience.


Hours
  • You choose between 7 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.  Can work a minimum of 10 hours a week or up to 25 hours a week depending on preference.
