Do you have replacement faceplates for the 6161/6162?
Any of the 6100 series faceplates will fit on the 6161/6162
phone. We do not carry any replacement faceplates with the active flip
feature (answer/hang-up using the flip). All of the replacement faceplates
we carry other than the OEM ones come with replacement keypads and lenses.
How hard is it to change the faceplate?
It is fairly simple. Please note, you may void the warranty of
the phone by changing the faceplate so be careful! You will need a #6 torx
wrench (which can be purchased at Sears for $1.95). Take the 4 screw
from the back of the phone, gently lift the bottom portion of the faceplate up
until the screw slots clear the board. Gently push up and to the side and
the faceplate will pop right off. To put the new faceplate on, line up the
screw slots, click the top portion of the faceplate in and gently press the
faceplate snug to install the screws. The process takes about 5
minutes.
